Come and visit our historic nursery at Austral Watergardens (established 1942) and meander through 3 acres of display gardens. Discover the many different waterlilies and other aquatic plants grown at the nursery. We have a huge range of Tropical and Hardy waterlilies, Lotus, Water Irises and much more. There is a Universal Rock pond display which includes waterfalls and creeks.

Of all the features that may decorate your garden, there is none as fascinating as a lily pool - it can be a magical place - a world of its own which changes with the seasons. A restful place to sit beside - to admire the beauty of the emerging waterlily buds unfolding to reveal their waxen petalled blooms, to watch changing reflections and the constant movement of fish amongst the water plants. Time wasting perhaps, but so very relaxing.

Minutes from scenic Brooklyn and Dangar Island.

You can find us at 1295 Pacific Hwy Cowan. Coming from Sydney way, you drive up the Pacific Hwy and take the F3 Freeway at Wahroonga. Drive on the Freeway for about 10 mins and take the 'Berowra' exit, this will bring you back onto the Pacific Hwy. Continue driving north until you see the sign 'Cowan and Brooklyn', then veer left, and we are 3km north of Cowan.

If you are coming from Newcastle way, you will drive down the F3 Freeway and take the Mooney Mooney exit. Drive across the Hawkesbury River Bridge and drive straight up the hill. We are on top of the hill, next to a Telstra Tower.
